Excess Waivers

Despite the caution taken by sacarrental.co.uk Rent a Car and the driver alike, theft and accidents do occasionally occur.  sacarrental.co.uk, however, provides four forms of excess waivers for the renter against finacial loss; namely Collision Damage Waiver (CDW), Super Collision Damage Waiver (SCDW), Theft Loss Waiver (TLW), and Super Theft Loss Waiver (STLW).  These excess waivers are not included in the rental rates, but the purchase of them ensures peace of mind for the customer.
The following table explains the different excess waivers offered by sacarrental.co.uk in clear and concise English and covers the main points of our waiver protection.

What if I take the Cover? What if I don't? Notes to remember
Theft Loss Waiver (TLW)

In the event of theft, hijacking or loss of the vehicle and/or any accessories, the liability of the renter is limited to the car group excesses as set out in the table below, ( under standard excess),

This is provided that the renter is not in breach of any provision of the rental agreement .

Should the renter decline to take TLW, the renter will be liable for all damages suffered by sacarrental.co.uk, resulting from theft, hijacking or loss of the vehicle and/or any accessories.

A deposit, based on the estimated rental costs and the full value of the applicable vehicle, is required if the renter does not take out TLW.

Should the renter decline to take STLW and TLW, the renter will be liable for all damages suffered by sacarrental.co.uk, resulting from the theft, hijacking or loss of the vehicle and/or any accessories.

A deposit, based on the estimated rental costs and the full value of the applicable vehicle is required if the renter does not take STLW.
